When I Met You, You Were On Your Back...

Ok, so I was listening to the new The Academy Is... CD, and I have decided that SEVERAL of the songs are about William Beckett's relationship with Gabe Saporta of Cobra Starship. I took a mini analysis to two of the songs, and this is the result...this is simply TWO of the songs, I hope to do more later.

Both of these songs are by THE ACADEMY IS...not Cobra, sung by Beckett, written by Beckett.

AFTER THE LAST MIDTOWN SHOW

PRELYRIC NOTES: MidTown is Gabe Saporta’s Old Band!

It's a drunken midnight on the streets
brightly dusted with a neon light
we duck behind the corner store
smoke your smokes while I keep a watchful eye <---Gabe used to smoke, no proof that he quit, except no one’s seen him do it for awhile.
Right Here, right now
I hope before the night is through
one fumbled touch will finally hit the spot <---That screams gay sex to me...it could be het, but that doesn't seem like a line that would be used to describe het...
you've got everything going for you
so I'll go for everything I got. <---The last Midtown show occurred after Gabe as already famous and William was just starting out.
Right here, the best days of our lives.
is this coincidence or a sign?

(Chours)
Is there anything I missed?
Is there anything I missed?
Tell me if I'm wrong
but why would we change a thing?

when the morning light fights through the cracks
cascading across the bed, and you are mine
when your parnets start to wake for work
between the sheets, I'll keep a watchful eye
right here, the best days of our lives
is this coincidence or a sign?

(Chours)

when we met I was on my back
I swear we spent most afternoons like that
somewhere in the act <---SEXSEXSEX!
we were part of something ours,
and ours alone
anywhere is home
we're almost here again <---Almost Here is the name of TAI first album, this would have been about the time Midtown ended…I think...maybe...which makes me wonder if maybe William and Gabe were together when Midtown was JUST ending, broke up after Almost Here was released, and are getting back together.
we're almost here again
we're almost here again
right here, right now

BEWARE! COUGAR!

PRELYRIC NOTES: While a Cougar is a big cat, it is also an older person that you fall for.

When I met you, you were on your back.
We still spend most afternoons like that, <---DO YOU SEE THE CONNECTION?!
but not for long.
I find myself enjoying you,
but you play these reckless games
you'll never lose
as long as I'm around.

Do you want to tie me up?
Do you want to tie me down?
Go ahead and do it now. <---Ok, well that’s just kinky and hot…

So far, so good, let it roll, let it ride, ride.
So far, so good, let us fall, let us fight, fight.
It's no fun on the sidelines.

We both know I'm too young for you, <---William is a good 4 years younger than Gabe.
and when you fake a laugh behind the wheel,
I know where this road is heading to.
When a sunken lie I lay in bed,
but I will live to be twenty-three.
And you'll see just how clever I can be... <---Not sure what this is a reference to, but I THINK that it, again, has to do with mentions of a break up, saying that William made it to 23 years old and he’s getting to Gabe with this album or something…I dunno…

Do you want to tie me up?
Do you want to tie me down?
Go ahead and do it now.

So far, so good, let it roll, let it ride, ride.
So far, so good, let us fall, let us fight, fight.
It's no fun on the sidelines.

Driving backwards, wasting time.
Young love is ruthless, so learn to fly. <---YOUNG would be a connection to his younger days, so again, back to After the Last Midtown Show.
You taught me things I can't forget. <---Of course he did…
I can't walk away, and I can't shake the taste. <---No matter what, he can’t let Gabe go!

Do you want to tie me up?
Do you want to tie me down?
Go ahead and do it now.

So far, so good, let it roll, let it ride, ride.
So far, so good, let us fall, let us fight, fight.
It's no fun on the sidelines.

Don't write a word, cuz I won't reply.

Adventures In A Skate Park...

Today as a part of orientation, we did a service project with a group of people. My group went to go clean up a skate park...I thought it would be uninteresting, but worth it..I WAS SO wrong...it was DEFINITELY interesting...well at least to me...

To start off, we got to the park and were like ok, so we're cleaning up a skate park, cool...They divided us up, and I was paired with this dude, we'll call him Mr. F ((kudos to anyone who gets the reference)) using GIANT garden sheers to clip back plants and trees. It was fun-ish and he and I got to talking and yada yada yada, and branches were falling on our heads and there were thorns and bugs everywhere, good fun, good fun.

Anyways, while we were working, we were clearing the plants that we had cut back out, and I managed to miss WHERE this happened, as I was throwing burr bushes in to a thicket, but Mr. F found a squeegee, a FUCKING SQUEEGEE in the WOODS by a SKATE PARK! I can say right now, that was kind of hilarious, it wasn't a small hand one either, it was one of the big long ones!

After the initial shock of squeegee discovery, we went back to normalness, and we ended up somehow on the subject of gay rights, and gay straight alliance clubs. Mr. F said that girls were WAY more accepted as bisexuals and lesbians than guys, and I agreed that this was true, but changing, and he was like nah, because girls have the advantage, I mean guys getting together doesn't turn girls on, and I'm standing there in my I <3 Slash Fiction shirt wondering WHAT PLANET IS THIS GUY FROM?! So then, to make things MORE awkward, I proceeded to inform him that I found it appealing...and after me defending it a little, we changed the subject to talk of shady deeds. Fun.

After the whole slash thing, we just kind of went back to work, and we were clearing out this thickety place, and BAM! BICYCLE! Yes, there was a beat up bicycle behind one of the bushes, so Mr. F decided to go get it. He did, and the thing was a defunct piece of SHIT! The back wheel was bent, the chain was off, and one of the handlebrakes was missing. Nonetheless, Mr. F decided to fix it up enough to ride it, so he got a mallet from the people fixing the picnic tables and got the wheel back in shape. Then he had ME put the chain back on because I was wearing gloves, so that was good fun...anyways, he managed to get it in to rideable shapes and I got attacked by burrs.

THE END!

You've Got Everything Goin' For You So I'll Go For You With Everything I've Got!

Alright ladies and gentleman! THIS IS in fact, a PICSPAM post. I am SO sorry that it has taken me so long to update! Work got CRAZY and then packing for college...or more denying that I was going by NOT packing...and then actually packing...and then GOING and then UNPACKING (Which took about 1/3 of the packing time...funny how that works...) and now I'm here freaking out because I miss rain and good coffee, so this is my random picspam with random comments! All of these pictures were on my computer BEFORE today.

<--- RUBIK'S CUBE! Because let's be honest...we all LOVE to be confused by these fuckers! Or maybe that's just me...I MISS my Rubik's cube! why, WHY did I leave it back home?!

<--- CORSAGE THAT I MADE! Because yeah...I"m semi talented, it worked! I swear! I made it for my friend because no one had ever given her one before and being me, I wasn't going to buy it because then there was the possibility that someone else would have the EXACT same one...and I couldn't have that!

<--- LLAMAS IN A CAR! This has made the picspam because...oh...IT'S LLAMAS IN A CAR! HOW IS THAT NOT WORTH PUTTING IN A PICSPAM? It's like Snakes on a Plane...only Llamas in a Car...I've had it with these motherfucking Llamas in this motherfucking car!

<--- FIRE EXTINGUISHER! Ok, just because I seem to be the only person with a fire extinguisher obsession doesn't mean that I will hide it! FEOAP! Fire Extinguisher Obsessive and Proud!

<--- TOUR POSTER! Because it's BILL AND TED only with The Academy Is... and We the Kings...how is that not basically the BEST concert tour poster in the history of the world, part one? That's right, IT IS!

<--- BABY WOMBAT IN A HAT! Because it's so fucking cute.

<--- PIGEON! I miss seeing pigeons everywhere...I actually took this picture! *gets excited* what's that? It sucks? ANGST FOR ME! Anyways, yes, piegeons should be EVERYWHERE, thus there is one on my blog now.

<--- THE BEAST! Just because he/she/it is THE BEAST and my friend made it and I kind of stole...well I mean she knows that I have it, so I guess that's ok, but anyways...the beast is just the beast...thus awesome. We actually used him as the example for Wild Beasts in a Seder a couple of years ago.

<--- EMO BOY! Because no picspam should be complete without the token emo child! So here he is...in all of his emo glory...

Well this concludes round one of picspam (I will probably do these every so often with pictures of things I miss, am thinking about, maybe even more that I take! Who knows! oh, and the title of this blog is a line from After The Last Midtown Show by The Academy Is...

10 Things I Love About Film! (My Top 10 Favorite Movies At The Moment)

So for those of you who know me, my top ten favorite movies change A LOT based off of new movies that I've seen or just plain getting sick of the old top 10! However, my first two haven't changed in forever, so I think that they're pretty solid...at least for now. In this post, I will be counting down, so yes, I will be starting with 10 and going down to my favorite movie...it's pretty generic and potentially uninteresting to you, but for someone like me, it's important to have this post! Basically, this is going to be 10 mini movie reviews...hopefully you guys don't find it too boring!

Number 10 - Sunshine (2007)
Director: Danny Boyle (other works include 28 Days Later and Trainspotting)
Writer: Alex Garland (other works include 28 Days Later)
Starring: Cillian Murphy, Rose Byrne, Cliff Curtis, Michelle Yeoh, Hiroyuki Sanada, Chris Evans and Troy Garity.
Rating: R
Genre: Adventure/Sci-Fi/Thriller
Crappy Havah Kinny Plot Summary: 50 years in the future, the sun is dying and the earth is stuck in a solar winter. A team of astronauts and scientists went in a ship (the Icarus I) to detonate a bomb the size of Manhattan Island in the middle of the sun to restart it, however, they never returned and nothing changed. Seven years later, another team (Icarus II) heads off. Naturally, things don't go as they were planned to, and decisions have to be made in order to keep the mission on track.
Why I Like It: The environmental issues are just one of the things that make this movie what it is. The acting performances of this small but mighty cast blew me, and the majority of my friends, to outer space (pun intended.) The issues faced relating to morality and sanity are also HIGHLY intriguing, not to mention the edge-of-the-seat sensation caused by the thriller portions! In the end, this movie rendered me (and two of my friends) unable to speak, let alone leave the theater immediately. I was crying, and my friends were both shaking...that is the kind of impact that this movie has...it is truly amazing.

Number 9 - Lords of Dogtown (2005)
Director: Catherine Hardwicke (other works include: Thirteen and the upcoming Twilight)
Writer: Stacy Peralta (other works include: Riding Giants and Made In America)
Starring: John Robinson, Emile Hirsch, Victor Rasuk and Heath Ledger.
Rating: PG-13 (But I like the unrated director's cut better.)
Genre: Biography/Drama/Sport
Crappy Havah Kinny Plot Summary: This movie is based off of a true story about teenagers in the 70s who took the surfing style and brought it to land in the form of freestyle skateboarding; which is basically extinct now. This story follows some of the BEST freestyle skaters, Jay Adams, Stacy Peralta (yes, the writer was one of the skaters) and Tony Alva as they go from slum life teenagers skating on a team for their local skateboard shop to sporting brand name skater paraphernalia for nation-wide companies.
Why I Like It: The acting in this movie is excellent, and having one of the original Z-Boys so involved with the making of it makes the movie, story, and characters so much more real. Also, I really enjoyed the way they shot the skating and the surfing...all in all it's just a good movie to watch with some friends...or alone, if you're lame like me.

Number 8 - Cool Runnings (1993)
Director: Jon Turteltaub (other works include National Treasure and While You Were Sleeping)
Writer: Lynn Siefert, Michael Ritchie, Tommy Swerdlow and Michael Goldberg
Starring: Leon Robinson, Doug E. Doug, Malik Yoba, Rawle D. Lewis and John Candy.
Rating: PG
Genre: Comedy/Family/Sport
Crappy Havah Kinny Plot Summary: When an Olympic hopeful sprinter, Derice Bannock, is tripped accidentally by a fellow runner in the Olympic trials, he convinces his best friend and two other sprinters who were tripped and this disqualified, to form the first ever Jamaican Bobsled Team. They also manage to convince a man who lives on the island and knows more than a thing or two about bobsledding, to coach them. They go through a series comic challenges, and end up in Calgary with ice...as in igloos and Eskimos and penguins, and ICE!
Why I Like It: In short, this movie is good clean fun. It is hilarious and I don't think that there is another movie that has me laughing as hard as I do when I watch this movie...every single time!

Number 7 - The Ballad of Jack and Rose (2005)
Director: Rebecca Miller (other works include Personal Velocity and Angela)
Writer: Rebecca Miller (other works include The Private Lives of Pippa Lee and Proof)
Starring: Daniel Day-Lewis and Camilla Belle.
Rating: R
Genre: Drama
Crappy Havah Kinny Plot Summary: Jack and his daughter Rose live all alone on an island that was once a commune. Jack home school's Rose, they work very hard to keep their little commune running, and in their free time, the protest housing and condo building near them! However, Jack decides that it's time Rose got to know other people, so he invites his mainland girlfriend and her two teenage sons to come and live with them. As a result, Rose has her first introduction to OTHER people, OTHER teenagers, and jealousy.
Why I Like It: The screenplay truly is original, the acting is PHENOMENAL, then again, what can you expect with Daniel Day-Lewis, and the story, while STRANGE, is captivating and educational in a way...it's a story about people, and there don't seem to be enough of those.

Number 6 - Fifty Pills (2006)
Director: Theo Avgerinos (other works include fishing for love)
Writer: Matthew Perniciaro (other works include Standing Still)
Starring: Lou Taylor Pucci, Kristin Bell and John Hensley.
Rating: R
Genre: Comedy
Crappy Havah Kinny Plot Summary: Scholarship college student Darren Giles loses his scholarship when his wealthy roommate, Coleman, throws a party in their dorm room. He tries to rake up enough money for tuition, but he runs short...Coleman, feeling as bad as someone like him can, leaves Darren 50 pills of ecstasy and a beeper. Normally straight-laced Darren has ONE day to sell the drugs and make enough for his college, and the people that he meets along the way make things...interesting.
Why I Like It: My god, this movie is one of the funnies things that I have EVER seen in my life! It may be short, but the length is made up for by the plethora of hilarious supporting characters and comic/awkward situations! Also, I will not deny that several of my favorite actors/actresses show up in this charming little indie film!

Number 5 - Thumbsucker (2005)
Director: Mike Mills (other works include Paper Boys and Does Your Soul Have A Cold?)
Writer: Walter Kirns (novel) Mike Mills (screenplay)
Starring: Lou Taylor Pucci, Tilda Swinton, Vincent D'Onofrio, Keanu Reeves and Kelli Garner.
Rating: R
Genre: Drama (IMDb says comedy as well...eh, I disagree.)
Crappy Havah Kinny Plot Summary: Teenaged Justin has no friends, no motivation, no hobbies, and no life...his vice: sucking his thumb. His overdriven father decides that it is time for him to STOP sucking his thumb, and with the help of a hippie orthodontist, a debate team coach, and Ritalin, he does...but at what price?
Why I Like It: Like some of the other movies on my list, this movie is riddled with my favorite actors and actresses. Also, the plot conveys a VERY important messages about not only life as a teenager, but what effect drugs like Ritalin and Concerta have on teenagers...it faces teenager issues such as sex, pot, parents, and ADD.

Number 4 - Brick (2005)
Director: Rian Johnson (other works include The Brothers Bloom)
Writer: Rian Johnson (other works include Evil Demon Golfball From Hell)
Starring: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Matthew O'Leary, Nora Zehetner, Noah Segan, Noah Fleiss, Lukas Haas, Megan Good and Emilie De Ravin.
Rating: R
Genre: Crime/Drama/Mystery
Crappy Havah Kinny Plot Summary: When the ex girlfriend of high school senior Brendan is found dead, he goes undercover in a drug ring to try and find out not only who killed her, but who set her up to be killed. This movie is basically Film Noir set in high school...and it uses the film noir language with a modern twist to it!
Why I Like It: The complexity of the characters make this movie impossible to watch just once...or twice...ok, it's fucking addicting! I love the subtle hints, the foreshadowing, the ambiguity of certain situations...not to mention the heir of mystery, the twists, the characters and the acting. Also, the slang makes everything just a little bit more fun!

Number 3 - Elephant (2003)
Director: Gus Van Sant (other works include Good Will Hunting and Finding Forrestor)
Writer: Gus Van Sant (other works include Last Days and Paranoid Park)
Starring: John Robinson, Elias McConnell, Alex Frost and Eric Deulen.
Rating: R
Genre: Crime/Drama
Crappy Havah Kinny Plot Summary: This movie follows around several high school students on what at first seems to be a typical morning. As the plot slowly unfolds, we learn more about the characters and more about the people that surround them everyday.
Why I Like It: This movie is shot and edited in an AMAZING and unique style using lots of steady cam and repetition shots, only in different points of view. The acting is all done by underrated or even first time actors, and was the first film for many of this actors. Also, this movie has a VERY strong message to it about an issue that isn't faced anywhere NEAR enough. While it may seem boring to some, I couldn't have turned it off had I tried.

Number 2 - Mean Creek (2004)
Director: Jacob Aaron Estes (other works include The Gifted and Summoning)
Writer: Jacob Aaron Estes (other works include Nearing Grace)
Starring: Josh Peck, Rory Culkin, Trevor Morgan, Ryan Kelley, Scott Mechlowicz and Carly Schroeder.
Rating: R
Genre: Crime/Drama
Crappy Havah Kinny Plot Summary: When 14 year old Sam tells his older brother Rocky that he is being bullied at school, Sam, Rocky and Rocky's friends decide that it is time to teach this bully a little lesson. The boys, along with Sam's unknowing girlfriend, Millie, take George (bully) on a boat trip to try and grant him his comeuppance, but when things don't go as planned, these teens are stuck on the most scarring adventure of their lives.
Why I Like It: A whole slew of my favorite actors appear in this movie...the acting is excellent, the story is a little scary and a bit eye opening, but I'm going to have to say that one of the best things about this movie is the way that it was shot; the contrast between light and dark as a theme is so subtle that I missed it the first time, but after that I started to see it, and when you look closely enough, there is so much more to this movie than initially appears.

Number 1 - The Emperor's Club (2002)
Director: Michael Hoffman (other works include Some Girls and One Fine Day)
Writer: Ethan Canin (novel: The Palace Thief) Neil Tolkein (screenplay)
Starring: Kevin Kline, Emile Hirsch and Embeth Davidtz.
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Drama
Crappy Havah Kinny Plot Summary: This is the MOTHER LOAD of inspirational teacher movies! Some people complain that it is too similar to the Dead Poet's Society, but really, they have nothing in common. This movie is about a Western Civ. teacher at a prestigious private high school. He has always been one of the most respected teachers in the school; revered by all...until a problem child who's father doesn't love him enough shows up and begins to wreak havoc upon the school, his classmates, and his teacher. Mr. Hundert decides to make this student his project, convinced that he will be able to turn the boy into a scholar just as he had all of his other students; what he is not prepared for is failure.
Why I Like It: I LOVE all of the facts about ancient Greece and Rome, some of my FAVORITE actors give stellar performances, and the story is entertaining, heartbreaking almost, but with an INCREDIBLY inspiring tone to it. It is almost nothing like ANY of the other movies I love, but for some reason, I never tire of it!

This For That, And I Forgot The That...Part II

Yes, you heard correctly! This is when I post the next 15 questions from the next 15 chapters of Heartbreak and Tarot Cards! OH MY GOODNESS! Haha, again, some of them will have pictures...I hope...Maybe...haha, we'll see I guess! Ok, but it seems that I messed up somewhere in the first part, and also there's an author's note as chapter 20, so this will start with chapter 17 and go to 35 I think, so actually, it's more than 14 questions...maybe, considering that, for some reason, some of these chapters don't have questions...which is a little odd, I must admit. Then again, I am odd, so that might be the reason for the randomness and weirdness!

Chapter 17 - Stop in the Name of Love Before I Break Your Arm
Q: If You Had A Sunbear For A Pet, What Would You Name It?
A: I would name it Jasper...yes, Jasper, after the character in Happy Campers, "Jasper was our sensitive counselor, seemingly shy, actually sly, a lot more than meets the eye." I mean come on, what else would anyone POSSIBLY want to name a sun bear? I think that a better question would be how would you go about acquiring a sun bear as a pet, because the answer to THAT would be valuable information! Why didn't the author ask that instead? Oh...because I am the author...and I didn't think about it until I was answering this question.

Chapter 18 - With A Little Help From My Friends
Q: Is The Canoe Wood or Aluminum?
A:
Well it depends on what canoe we're talking about...if it's Joe and Kevin's canoe...wood. Definitely wood.

Chapter 19 - I Love You More Than I Hate Cheese Spray
Q: Have You Seen Ghost World?
A:
HEE! YES! I LOVE THAT MOVIE!...and Brad Renfro, he really, truly is AMAZING, and I really miss him...even though I didn't know him personally...unfortunately.

Chapter 20 - Author's Note
Q: Is There A Question?
A: Why no, there's not.

Chapter 21 - Strip Yahtzee and Nick the Bumblebee!
Q: What's Coming Next?
A:
THE APOCALYPSE! RUN!

Chapter 22 - Boys With Purity Rings Don't Buy Condoms
Q: Will They Go For It, Or Will Nick's Visual Turn Him Cold Fish?
A:
Oh, fish! That reminds me of this boy I like who works in the seafood department at the - wait...back on task Havah...the question...hmm, I think that it will turn him into frozen tuna!

Chapter 23 - Cinematic Erotica and Belt Trauma
Q: Would You Ever Buy A Hat With A Fish On It (As In Like A Stuffed Animal Fish That's Really A Hat)?
A:
Psht, what kind of question is that? Who in their right mind would buy a hat with a fish on it? I mean that's just absurd! I mean do they even make hats like that?! THEY DO?! That is just unbelievably stupid...oh wait...I"m being informed that I, in fact, purchased a hat with a fish on it...and what's this? I've actually been known to wear it?! REPEATEDLY?! Oh my...

Chapter 24 - The Great Juice Spill Excuse
Q: What Are Some Tragically Famous Couples?
A:
Oh crap...well aside from the ones that I listed in the story...uh...I don't know! My brain is off, OFF I TELL YOU!

Chapter 25 - In Which Nick Panics, Like Me In Biology!
Q: I Give Up On The Questions, No One Answers Them Anyways
A: Well that didn't turn out to be true...

Chapter 26 - Danger, Sex Appeal, and Joe's a Badass!
Q: Who Is Excited For Prince Caspian, And Which Of The Guys (Caspian, Peter or Edmund) Do You Think Is The Sexiest?
A:
Oh my goodness! It's all about King Peter the ABSOLUTELY magnificent! I mean come on...let's be honest, William Moseley (who plays Peter) is not a great actor, but he is HOT! AND he looks spiffy without his shirt on! (See my blog post The Name Of The Game Is I Like It Like That for more on William Moseley.) Skandar Keynes isn't bad either though...

Chapter 27 - In Which Miley Learns Of Love
Q: Which Would You Rather Read? Caspian/Peter or Peter/Edmund
A:
In all honesty, moviewise, Peter/Caspian because they had SO much chemistry, but Peter/Edmund would be hotter.

Chapter 28 - So Different, So Similar? No Way!
Q: Has Anyone Seen Speed Racer? Is It Worth My Money?
A:
Well I don't know about everyone else, but I have NOT yet seemed Speed Racer, so I guess that I deemed it was not worth my money...or maybe I just never got around to it, I don't remember!

Chapter 29 - If You Want Me, Take Me, DAMNIT!
Q: Have You Heard OF Or Heard The Band ANYTHING BUT JOEY?
A:
Yes, I have...and I kind of really, REALLY love their music, especially their song Sight Reading...however they do seem to have some strange sunburn fetish, which is weird, but makes for good songs...about sunburns.

Chapter 30 - Nick Finally Becomes A Man, Sort Of
Q: What Is The Best Remedy For A Sore Throat?
A:
In all honesty, I'm going to have to to choose the overly cliche tea with lemon and honey, while I may not like the taste of honey, especially in my tea, it will make those sore throats feel a little bit better! That or HALL'S Throat Drops...which most people don't like, but I can handle the taste for their help!

Chapter 31 - When Joe and Kevin Nearly Screw in the Loo
Q: Has Anyone Heard Of The Movie MEET BILL Starring Aaron Eckhart, Elizabeth Banks, Jessica Alba, Timothy Olyphant, Todd Louiso and Logan Lerman?
A:
Hear of it? Why yes, I have! Hell, I've even seen it, and let me tell you, if you haven't, you most DEFINITELY should, it's one of the funniest movies that I've seen in a long time, and I LOVE to laugh...and you should too! I mean come on...who DOESN'T want to watch Aaron Eckhart pretending to be high? Or watch Timothy Olyphant get shot at by a deranged fan? Or watch Logan Lerman strip down to women's lingerie? Ok, I could have done JUST fine without the last one, but all that I have to say about this film is? APOLOGIZE! APOLOGIZE!

Chapter 32 - Caution: Hot Boys
Q: Do You Know The Muffin Man?
A:
Why no, I do not!

Chapter 33 - Joe Crows and Nick Cries A Lot
Q: What Is Your Favorite Beverage?
A:
It's all about the root beer, baby!

Chapter 34 - And The Melodramatic Return of Melodrama
Q: What Is Your Favorite Independent Film?
A:
Oh god, I LOVE indie films...what is my favorite one?! Probably Mean Creek, I LOVE that movie and it's my 2nd favorite movie, so I guess yeah, that's gonna have to be it!

Chapter 35 - Third Time's The Charm...Or Not...
Q: Do You Think That My Friend Will Come Through And Save Joe's Life?
A:
Well seeing as there are about...30 more chapters to this story, I'm going to go with yes, she probably did...or the next thirty chapters are Kevin angsting about his fallen love.

The Name Of The Game Is I Like It Like That!

Alright, so I was tagged by someone how has unlimited power over me...she introduced me to Gabilliam, and in exchange, she now has my soul, so I shall do it...even though it is A. EXTREMELY difficult for me... B. NOT something I would normally do on a blog that my mother has the link to, and C. I usually don't do something just because I'm asked...ok, that's not true, my friends have weird power over me, anyways.
The Rules Of The Game:
(1) List 10 celebrities you would have sex with. (2) Put all of them IN ORDER of your lust for them. (10 - 1, 1 is the hottest.) (3) Say which movie/show/thing it was that hooked you. (4) Supply photos for said people. (5) Tag five people! (6) Because this is my blog, I'm going in to more detail, because otherwise I would get bored.

Number 10: Lou Taylor Pucci - Actor
What got me hooked on Lou...let's see, I'm pretty sure that it was Thumbsucker, I guess I just have a thing for weird looking guys, because I saw that movie and I knew IMMEDIATELY that I thought he was attractive...I also really like his eyes, they have a lot of white in them, which is cool! Other things that I LOVE him in: Empire Falls, Fifty Pills, Personal Velocity, The Chumscrubber, Southland Tales, and as St. Jimmy in the Green Day video, Jesus of Suburbia.
INTERESTING FACT ABOUT LOU TAYLOR PUCCI THAT I JUST HAPPEN TO KNOW: The first time that he EVER got on a plane was when he flew to LA for his Thumbsucker audition.

Number 9: Gabe Saporta - Singer/Bassist for Cobra Starship (old band: Midtown.)
((yes, i know that the photo is not the most flattering, but it's my favorite of him, it really is!) I was turned on to Gabe Saporta by a friend of mine who decided that it would be fun to take over my life by sending me the music video for Bring It! (Snakes on a Plane)...*cough* samefriendwhotagged metodothisinthefirstplace *coughcoughcough* ANYWAYS, I liked the video, thought Gabe was hot, shipping him INTENSELY with William Beckett, and that was pretty much the end of that! Oh yeah...and I like his music, it kind of rocks! Oh, and he SUPPORTS Slash Fanfiction...he even said that it was hot, so yeah...BONUS POINTS!
RANDOM FACT ABOUT GABE SAPORTA THAT I JUST HAPPEN TO KNOW: He believes that he was bitten by an Alien Cobra who taught him how to dance...hence the band name Cobra Starship.

Number 8: William Beckett - Singer for The Academy Is...
My story for how I got hooked on William Beckett is pretty much EXACTLY the same as it is for Gabe Saporta...heh...so this part won't be very interesting, though I will add a few things. After the Snakes on a Plane Video, I started watching TAITV (the miniTV show that The Academy Is...has) and it is HILARIOUS and GENIUS! While I would rather Beckett and Saporta be together, I wouldn't kick either of them out of bed...I mean come on, would you?! His band, The Academy Is...while having the worst name is history, is actually really fucking good...I kid you now, so if you haven't already, LISTEN to them!
RANDOM FACT ABOUT WILLIAM BECKETT THAT I JUST HAPPEN TO KNOW: He gets very upset when his clothing shrinks in the wash...especially striped sweaters.

Number 7: William "Wilmo" Moseley - Actor
William Moseley caught my attention in the trailer for The Chronicles of Narnia: the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe...naturally, he managed to keep my attention for both the movie and the next one! The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. I somehow fell for his AMAZING good looks...no idea how...though I can say that his ACCENT did not hurt him at all, nor those photos of him with no shirt on, ANYWAYS...that's not the point of this blog post...oh wait...yes it is. Other things that I have seen him in besides Narnia: NOTHING! because lets be honest, while he is attractive, his acting talent is...not all the way there...or really too much of the way there at all; unless he was supposed to be lusting after Caspian the whole time, then he hit the nail on the head.
RANDOM FACT ABOUT WILLIAM MOSELEY THAT I JUST HAPPEN TO KNOW: He WOULD kiss another guy in a movie for no extra pay as long as it was part of the plot - GO WILLIAM!

Number 6: John Robinson - Actor
John Robinson first caught my eye in The Lords Of Dogtown (he played Stacy Peralta...you may not recognize him without the ridiculously long hair.) He was cute, ripped, he could skate, act, and he and I were born in the same city, so BONUS points to him...and on that note, he actually managed to get me to see Transformers, which I not only had no interest in, but ended up HATING, because he was in it for all of...two seconds? Maybe three? anyways...Other things that I loved him in: ELEPHANT! That is one of the best movies EVER...also, I loved using his picture to represent Gavin Sway, one of my original characters in Break Me.
RANDOM FACT ABOUT JOHN ROBINSON THAT I JUST HAPPEN TO KNOW: He knows how to surf.

Number 5: Michael Guy "Chizz" Chislett - Guitarist for The Academy Is...
I started to notice Chizz when again, the person who tagged me to this, sent me a picture of him because we were writing a joint story and he was a character that I would need to know...I immediately fell in love with his sexiness, only later to find out, once I started watching TAITV that he is AUSTRALIAN and has an AUSTRALIAN accent! HOW AWESOME IS THAT?! Oh yeah...and he's a good guitarist. He is mildly shippable with William Beckett, but since I like Beckett/Saporta best, they can have each other and I'll take Chizz, sound like a plan? Ok, good.
RANDOM FACT THAT ABOUT MICHAEL GUY "CHIZZ" CHISLETT THAT I JUST HAPPEN TO KNOW: He eats vegemite because he loves that stuff...oh, and he won't break my heart because he's from Australia!

Number 4: Joseph Gordon-Levitt - Actor
Ha...Joseph Gordon-Levitt first caught my eye when I was six and I saw him in Angels in the Outfield...this made him my first EVER crush, congratulations, JGL. Obviously, he has come a LONG way since he played Roger, and he has now grown up, grown into an INCREDIBLE actor, and grown at LEAST 10 times hotter! Other that I have LOVED him in: Brick, The Juror, Manic, The Lookout, 3rd Rock From the Sun, 10 Things I Hate About You, Mysterious Skin, Latter Days...aw fuck it, just go to IMDb and look at his profile because he is AMAZING in everything that he has EVER been in! He also has been known to sing every now and then...BONUS POINTS FOR THAT! And he can handle well both comedy and drama...though I like him better dramatically to be honest. Oh, and we Jews have to stick together!
RANDOM FACT ABOUT JOSEPH GORDON-LEVITT THAT I JUST HAPPEN TO KNOW: If he were king of the Germans, he would do his German dance every day! He also HATES gratuitous sex scenes in movies...

Number 3: Jack Lawless - Drummer for The Jonas Brothers
Jack Lawless, Law Man, Flawless Lawless, whatever you choose to call him, caught my eye in a picture of the Jonas Brother's band...and one look was all it took to send me to another galaxy! HE WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD HOT...in my opinion...oh, and come on...Jack Lawless...tell me that's not one of the hottest names EVER! I think it is...anyways...after a little digging around I learned that he was shy, barely talkative, and that he and Greg "Garbo" "Garblogsky" Garbowsky (Bassist for JB) share an apartment sometimes...wow, lots of info on this guy! Only not. Anyways, in all honesty, I don't know much about him, but I stick with these lovely words of advice when I think about him: Save a Drum, Bang a Drummer.
RANDOM FACT ABOUT JACK LAWLESS THAT I JUST HAPPEN TO KNOW: After being bullied into it by Nick Jonas and the entire audience, Jack Lawless once told a joke at a concert.

Number 2: John Patrick Amedori - Actor/Singer?
I first saw John Patrick Amedori in Little Athens, which actually sucked phenomenally, but he was HOT! So naturally, being the obsessive fangirl that I am, I did a little research, and found a little bit more of his stuff. After realizing that he really has yet to be in anything great, I lessened my obsession to be mainly based on his looks, though I do enjoy the one song that he has recorded, Love Song, it's pretty and indie and thus, I like it. Other things that I have seen him in: The Butterfly Effect, Stick It! and one episode of Numb3rs...though apparently he's on some TV show right now that I have managed to miss so far...I have also used his visage as an Original Character; Walker; in my story Paper or Plastic...and will be using him again I think, as Shutruk Ryan.
RANDOM FACT ABOUT JOHN PATRICK AMEDORI THAT I JUST HAPPEN TO KNOW: He was in a short film involving incest, aptly titled Incest...that I will probably never manage to locate, directed by Luke Eberl, who had a lovely supporting role in one of my favorite movies: A Painted House.

Number 1: Paul Franklin Dano - Actor/Guitarist/Singer
You may know him as Dwayne (the brother) in Little Miss Sunshine or the freaky childpriest in There Will Be Blood, but I first became obsessed with Paul Dano in 2002 when The Emperor's Club was released! He played the nerdy yet endearing, adorable, and, in my opinion SEXY, Martin Blythe. Since then I have seen...EVERYTHING that he has been in minus a movie that was never released and a few episodes of the Sopranos. I also AVIDLY ADORE and follow his indie soft rock band, Mook, because they rock. I think that he is SEXY as well as having a unique voice and a lovable personality in interviews...oh yeah, and Mook responds to myspace messages! COOL! Other things that I have loved him in: The Girl Next Door, The King, L.I.E, The Ballad of Jack and Rose, Too Young To Be A Dad (ok, that movie sucked, but he was AWESOME in it!)...you know what, I'm not listing everything. Just go look him up! He really is talented...
RANDOM FACT ABOUT PAUL FRANKLIN DANO THAT I JUST HAPPEN TO KNOW: He was not slated to play the role that he had in There Will Be Blood, but because Daniel Day-Lewis was SO intimidating, the actor originally cast in the role dropped out. Daniel Day-Lewis told them to cast Paul Dano because they had worked together before, as rivals no less, in The Ballad of Jack and Rose, and he knew that Paul Dano could take the heat...and he did!

Alright! That's done, and I'm tagging...xxfamouslastwordsxx, Tim, Tree, Puck and Mama Dear Mama, yes mother, I'm tagging YOU!

Get Back, Joe Joe

Ok, so...I'm sure that you guys all remember how I said that I had those friends out from Scotland, J and T? Well, the other day we were hanging out at this fountain downtown with two of my gal friends...crap...also J and T...how inconvenient...um...we'll just call my gal friends Je and Ti...ok...so his homeless man came up to us, introduced himself as Joe and proceeded to shake all of our hands...and sit down with us. Normally I'm ok with this, because most of the homeless people around here are actually very friendly...however, this guy was CREEPY!

What he wanted were directions to McDonalds, so he asked, and Je told him...the conversation went a little something like this, though not verbatim.
Joe: *to T* Hey, where's McDonalds?
T: I dunno, I'm not from here.
Joe: *turns to J*
J: Also not from here...
Je: *gives directions to nearest McDonalds.*
Joe: Are you lying to me?
Je: ...no...
Joe: Two people have lied to me already about the location of McDonalds!
Me: Oh, no, she's not lying, I've been there before.
Joe: Ok, cause you don't want to know what I'll do if you're lying!
Everyone But Joe: *Way freaked out.*

Then, he addressed J, who was wearing a bandanna that gave him the appearance of...well a Backstreet Boy, go J! ANYWAYS, Joe tapped J's bandanna and here is more conversation, again, not verbatim:
Joe: *tapping J's bandanna* Do you have a spare one of those for me?
J: Uh...no...
Joe: Where did you buy it?
J: Scotland.
Joe: Oh, where can I buy one around here?
J: Hey, Havah, do you know where you can buy bandanna's here?
Me: Uh...no friggin clue...
Joe: I have to get me one of those!
J: Yeah...

So then we just kind of sat there in all of our awkwardness until Joe demanded that J go with him to McDonalds as his buddy...J said that he would walk to the end of the park with him, and he did. They stopped at the corner, and J kept trying to turn back, but Joe just kept chatting him up...including asking J if he wanted to go find some women, to which J cleverly replied "I've got my women back there, thanks..." Good one, J. ANYWAYS, eventually J managed to get away from Joe, and we all went to go get chinese food at this restaurant...Oh, and at some point while we were sitting with Joe, T told him to stay cool...bad idea, T...good thing he was sidetracked by J and the bandanna.

HOWEVER while we were waiting for our food to arrive, T looked out of the window of the restaurant (we were sitting near the window) and BAM, there was Joe...with a McDonald's bag. J freaked out and demanded that we all duck down so that he wouldn't see us...We all did, except for Je, who thought it was stupid; he couldn't get us in the restaurant...probably true...but J, who was quite scared, was fairly upset with her. Anyways, eventually Joe went away, and all was well.

All was well...until TONIGHT! It is J and T's last day visiting, and we went to this fairly nice restaurant downtown, fairly far from where the fountain/park was, and it was a LONG meal, so partway through J, T and I went out to get some fresh air, and we were just hanging about...and across the street, we see Joe, same camo pants, same rolled up sleeping bag...same Joe. J freaked out and T wasn't far behind, so we quickly re-entered the restaurant in hysterics, and the Joe saga ends here...for now...I will keep you posted on further Joe sightings!

This For That, and I Forgot The That...Part I

So some of you may know that I am about to finish posting Heartbreak and Tarot Cards on my fanfiction account. At the end of each chapter, I asked a random question. Now just recently, someone brought to my attention that while I asked them, I never answered a SINGLE one of those questions, so without further ado, I answer 74 of the most pointless questions ever asked!

SIDENOTE: I am NOT doing them all in one blog post, I will do one every...15 chapters I think? Maybe 20..depends really on how I'm feeling when posting! Oh, and some of them will have pictures to accompany them!

The Questions (with the according chapter title and number!):

Chapter One - In Which Kevin Eats The House
Q: Why Isn't There A Question On Chapter One?!
A:
I have no fucking clue...I'm an imbecile? I guess there will only be 73 pointless questions!

Chapter Two - Nick is a Prick and Other Anecdotes
Q: Why Is There Still No Question You Idiot?!
A:
I...still have no idea, NEXT!

Chapter Three - Bowling Pins With Nick's Face! YAY!
Q: WHY IS THERE STILL NO FUCKING QUESTION?!
A:
Because I just looked...and there is no question until...chapter six, so with my neighbor, I shall make up the next two questions!

Chapter Four - Do Not Forget Me, 24601!
Q: Do You Like Mayonnaise?
A:
Why no, I do not...I actually kind of hate it...yeah...

Chapter Five - OH SHIT! MY ASS IS VIBRATING!
Q: Why On Earth Do You Have Your Neighbor's Copy Of Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island?
A:
I think I borrowed it while I was babysitting to take to the kid's house...I honestly have no fucking clue! Oh drat...she has decided that she wants it back! I guess there is no hope of taking it to college now! ANGST! I wanted to keep that sucker forever! FOILED AGAIN! AND I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN AWAY WITH IT TOO...IF IT WEREN'T FOR YOU MEDDLING KIDS!

Chapter Six - PUS and Rebound Dating
Q: How Are You Guys Feeling About Nick?
A:
Well I don't know about you, but at this point in the story, I was about ready to push him through a woodchipper...but that's a little too FARGO for me...sorry Peter Stormare, I will NOT follow you down that path!

Chapter Seven - Be An Animal, Give Up Jesus!
Q: Who Thinks Kevin Overreacted and Who Thinks Denise Did?
A:
Oh my god...it was DEFINITELY both of them!

Chapter Eight - I Wonder What You Do There In The Back
Q: Predict What Nick Is Doing While All Of This Is Going Down?
A:
Well since I wrote it...I think predicting this would be a wash...so instead I shall tell a random fact - I very often fall asleep next or even hugging my huge thesaurus...which now has a name, rather un-originally, it hath been dubbed Roget. The story behind my thesaurus: When I had my Bat Mitzvah, one of my friends asked me what I wanted as a gift. I told that I wanted a GIGANTIC thesaurus...and she definitely came through for me...and now I have Roget, the love of my life!

Chapter Nine - The Fickle Joe and the Sleeping Sounds
Q: How Do You Think Nick Is Going To Handle This?
A: Ha! Not well...he's an altar boy!

Chapter Ten - Biblical Lessons: Jonas Style
Q: How Long Do You Think Joe Will Be Able To Keep It In His Pants?
A:
That's a silly question! Until he changes in to his pajamas!

Chapter Eleven - Crouching Tiger, Hidden Jovin
Q: What Do You Think Of Nick And Miley?
A:
I think that I'm moving on to the next question...god, where the hell are the good questions?! What chapter did these question get more interesting?! Oh wait...I'm supposed to be answering question, not asking more! SHIT!

Chapter Twelve - Bible Thumping Teenagers
Q: What Is Your Favorite Kind Of Cookie?
A:
Well I'm allergic to wheat...so my favorite kind of cookie would be that without wheat!

Chapter Thirteen - Maitre de la Chambre Faux French
Q: Who Caught The Arrested Development References? There Were A Few In There...
A:
Well obviously I did...because I wrote the chapter...so this question hereby sucks and is me shamelessly promoting one of my favorite TV shows!

Chapter Thirteen - SOS Came On The Radio, We Got Distracted
Q: What is your favorite TV Show?
A:
Alright, well technically I have not ONE, but TWO WHOLE FAVORITES! Arrested Development (See Question Above) and Third Rock From The Sun!

Chapter Fourteen - This Is Ourselves Under Pressure
Q: Are You Mad At Joe?
A:
Yes! So mad that I think I shall walk over to his house and defenestrate him from the highest point of the house!

Chapter Fifteen - God Closes a Door and Opens a Window
Q: Who Likes Gossip Girl? Is It Worth a Shot?
A:
I don't like it, but there is ONE good character, and he makes it worth watching, so I'm going to have to say yes, if only because Eric Van Der Woodsen (played by Connor Paolo) is basically the man and a half! HEE! He may not be in that many episodes, but it's worth it for the ones that he's in. The DILF isn't bad either though, just putting that out there...I did watch the entire first season on recommendation from my readers, and I MIGHT tune in to the second season if I see any potential plot with Eric going ANYWHERE good...poor kid, he's the only one who hasn't screwed up majorly...yet...

ALRIGHT! Congrats! You made it through part one...wait, did anyone actually read this? My sources say no...DAMN!
